Helicopter rotor assembly with turning rotor blades and adjustable pitch / collective.
A great model (thanks to the original designer) which, after considerable time and tinkering, is now easier to print and fit together.
Printing: standard settings with tree supports.
Assembly tips:
- Sand the ball joints to take off the bits where the support joined them and make them nice and round.
- Use a needle file to file the inside of the T-slots on the 3 frame parts if the sliding parts don't move easily.
- Follow the photos to build up the rotor head.
- The 3 frame parts are snapped around the 2 circular parts with 3 prongs. With the frame snaps, its easier to slide the top one in, then snap the bottom one.
- Put the assembled rotor head down through the frame.
- Add the gear wheels and T-slot sliding parts
- Snap together pitch links to the T-slot sliding parts.
- Push on the bottom gear wheel to the rotor.
- Drop on the base and have fun!

The author remixed this model.
Differences of the remix compared to the original
Changes:
- Print plates in 3mf (bambu slicer) with all components separated and a reference model of the assembly.
- Adjustments to the parts that slide in the T-slots to make them slide easily.
- Adjustments to the main frame parts to help them snap together easily.
- Added a base plate for it to sit on.
- Added a shorter rotor blade (more reliable print).
- Fixed some non-manifold parts.
