Flashforge AD5X LED Lighting Mod – Cable Track Integration

While optimizing LED placement on the Flashforge AD5X, I identified the side-mounted cable management channels as an ideal mounting solution. These tracks offer direct routing access to the mainboard, simplifying power delivery and minimizing wire clutter. Leveraging the existing infrastructure eliminates the need for additional brackets or external routing.

For implementation:

Use one track for basic illumination and minimal wiring or utilize both tracks to achieve balanced, uniform lighting across the build chamber.

Supplies:
24V LED strip
Terminal block
26-28g wire
JST-XH 2.54mm

Connect the JST to the wires. Make sure to check the polarity as  sometime red/black is switched in the connectors. Use about 20": to go to the left side. Use about 30" to from the left LED strip to the right side. I found it best to go the long way down and round the mainboard following the other wires in the printer.

Use Orca-Flashforge to turn the light on/off.
