This is a custom-fit, protective case for the 24six Solo 3 music player, designed to be printed in flexible TPU filament.
It features a snug "tray" design that grips the device, with precise cutouts for the charging and headphone ports. The design also includes integrated, raised external buttons for the power and volume controls, allowing for easy use while keeping the device protected.
This model is designed exclusively for TPU (flexible) filament. Printing in PLA or PETG will result in a case that is rigid, too small, and impossible to put on the device.
Material: TPU (95A shore hardness is recommended, but any standard TPU will work).
Layer Height: 0.2mm (standard).
Supports: No supports needed. Print it standing up, with the large screen opening facing up.
Print Speed: Print SLOWLY. This is the most important rule for TPU. A speed of 20-30 mm/s is ideal. Printing too fast will cause jams and poor quality.
Retraction: Disable (or lower) retraction. TPU is "stretchy," and standard retraction settings will cause it to clog your extruder.
If you must use retraction (Direct Drive): Keep it very low (e.g., 0.5mm - 1mm).
If you have a Bowden extruder: Disabling retraction (Z-Hop on) is often easier.
Stringing: You will have stringing. This is normal for TPU. After the print is done, it's very easy to clean up with a pair of flush cutters or a quick blast from a heat gun.
Bed Adhesion: TPU usually sticks too well to PEI or glass beds. Using a layer of blue painter's tape or a glue stick can act as a release agent to make it easier to remove the print.
