Utility dashboard - DIN rail mount / Anker Powerport / 5" ESP LCD

I remixed two models to mount a Guiton 5" LCD on my network panel. The DIN mount holds a USB power supply and display.

The dashboard uses a Guiton JC8048W550 module with an assortment of sensors. I plan to use it to control some lights and sorts.

The DIN mount holds a USB Power supply (Anker PowerPort 6) and acts as a riser to hold the screen outside the utility box.

This dashboard runs an ESPHome firmware.

Hardware:

  • M3 screws for mount and 2x heat set inserts.
  • BT2.5, BT3 screws

Sensors:

  • Can hold several 2.5cm QWIIC boards (you can stack two, for example), with slot for a light sensor.
  • One slot for pimoroni BME680
  • QWIIC cables
  • Note that the tolerances are quite small for qwiic wire, but it does fit. I'll try to improve this.

Extras:

  • I include a light pipe that can be printed on a resin printer and put in the slots on the left. It targets the default LED on one of the QWIIC board, but you can put your own too. I think it looks cool.

Thanks to the original creators whose work made the creation of this project much easier!

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

DIN Clip:

  • Changed outer dimensions

Screen mount:

  • Original model was optimized to be light weight, so I thickened the edges
  • Added space for Adafruit QWIIC components
  • Added mount holes for the dock
