My daughter's purse strap clasp broke and I set out to look for a quick replacement. What I found were ones that didn't lock or were more than just one piece, so I designed my own.
There are 3 sizes here, so that you don't change the gap at the clasp when you try to scale.
My other Carabiner Designs:
Print using PETG/ABS/ASA, because PLA will likely not do well when flexed to open/close. I printed mine in PETG to take advantage of flex characteristics and it works quite well.
I used 4 walls, 5 layers top and bottom, 20% infill, which is pretty stiff, but you can try your own settings.
NOTE: the gap in the locking snap area is designed to be 0.2mm which is good for a generally well-calibrated machine. If your print is welded together too tightly, it could mean your printer needs further calibration. If you believe your printer is already well-tuned, one quick way to improve gap control in this area is to increase your acceleration during extrusion so that not too much excess material end up in the snap area to weld it together (for my Prusa MKS+ acceleration of 1000mm/s^2 seems to work well.)
