Turntable for Syrp Genie Mini

This is a turntable and a stand for the motorized panorama motion controller Syrp Genie Mini. You can use this turntable to shoot stills, videos or animations of your objects, use it for 3D scanning etc. Be careful with the threads on the turntable, do not tighten it too much. It could shear off the threads. For most purposes this is stable enough, considering the cost for the original part from the manufacturer. :-)

You have to use the Genie Mini upside down with this, the big platform goes into the side that normally rests on the tripod. Otherwise, if you have connected the Genie Mini to your camera trigger with a cable, the cable gets wound around the Genie Mini when it rotates. In upside down position this does not happen and just the turntable will turn.

Update September 12, 2023: added version for heat insert (named v6), after I broke the threads off my previous part. :-)

You need these parts:

• heat insert for ¼"
• grub screw UNC ¼" x 5/8", 20 TPI
• adapter ¼" to 3/8", optional, or use the adapter included with the Syrp Genie Mini.

The ¼" heat inserts were the largest I could find, so the other parts need to be this size. If photography and 3D printing are both your hobbies perhaps you will have some use for these parts for other purposes if you buy them in bulk. :-)
