The stock guard of the Dynafile II covers the drive wheel, but it also prevents the belt from being replaced, and can make it difficult to get it back on the drive wheel if it slips off. This guard covers the drive wheel while allowing belts to be replaced and re-mounted, takes up less space, and still helps to retain the belt in the event of a slip. Complies with OSHA 1910.243(a)(3).

Uses a #8-32 x 3/8" truss head machine screw and a 5/32" - 7/8" fender washer. Print with the large flat surface down. Orient the first-layer infill as shown in the photos, and set the layer height so that there is an odd number of layers in the flat plate section (2mm thick). Print with 100% rectilinear infill and 1-2 perimeters for at least the first 2mm. Use a stiff, tough, heat-resistant material such as fiber-reinforced polycarbonate. The printed guard in the photos was printed with a 0.8mm nozzle, 0.4mm layer height, and 1mm (0.8mm top surface) extrusion widths.

There are two versions of the guard, since the pneumatic and electric Dynafile II drive wheels have different insets relative to the guard mount. Not compatible with other Dynafile variants.
