The Picosplit is a 3D-printable, ergonomic split keyboard whose design is inspired by the Dactyl to promote a natural and relaxed hand position. It is powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico and runs on an open-source firmware based on CircuitPython.
A primary feature is its simple configuration: the keyboard mounts as a USB drive, allowing the layout to be customized simply by editing text files directly on the device. This process requires no special software or development environment. The Picosplit also features interchangeable magnetic wrist rests and a time-saving wiring system that does not require diodes.
I have been using this keyboard for five years and am very satisfied with it. However, I only use it with macOS. If my own firmware is not suitable for Windows or Linux computers, or if you require other features, you can use the KMK firmware, for example.
