I printed the wide version in ASA at 0.20mm layers which should have been pretty good. But the screw posts are not designed well (sharp corners) and one did break despite careful handling. I find the walls a bit thin and the accessory loop too small. I replaced the Seeed antenna cable with an SMA fitting and would like a different fitting for the actual antenna foot as well.
I plan to rework the whole case for a 3000mAh battery size and more durable construction. A carabiner loop or belt clip option TBD.
I haven't had a chance to print this one yet, but I like the idea and plan to make at least one version with heatsink inserts to increase the overall toughness of the design.
Thank you for looking and please send any feedback, suggestions, requests, etc.
The components on the F3D PCB model itself are approximated. Don't use that for design. The ports on the housing and face models themselves are spaced accurately — I'll reference them in my next remix. Said another way, the PCB body is good for positioning and fastener references, but not for switch and button reference. For switch and button reference use the case openings.
