This idler was designed to be mounted on the X-Axis of the TEVO Tarantula and uses 626 ball bearings. This idler is also usable for other printers with a 4020 extrusion profile as an axis. Please let me know if there are other printers where this idler also works. The idler is seperated from its regular mounting option so the carriage for Z-Movement gets balanced. This Idler is used the best way with the stock X-Carriage. This design is not usable with MGN12 linear rails due to the fact that the GT2 Belt will rub against the MGN12 rails.
This design is an addition to my 608 ball bearing Y-Axis idler which is called GIRO - TEVO Tarantula / 608 Ball Bearing Y-Axis Idler.
You will need additional screws and washers for the mounting of the idler. The needed parts are mentioned below.
Additional screws and washers
1x M3x25 or M3x30 screw with a hexagonic screw head
1x M3 Washer
1x M3 Nut
2x M4x10 screw
2x M4 Washer
2x 626 Ball Bearing
Version 1.1
The pulley was corrected and is now a 39 teeth (39T) pulley. The teeth of the GT2 belt are now entering completely the slots of the pulley. The advantage is that you get more strengthness with a more accurate axis movement. The bracket was also made a bit shorter to safe some space.
Version 1.0
This was the first intended design with a 38 teeth (38T) pulley and a first bracket prototype.
I would recommend to use 2 perimeters. Print with a lower speed, for example 30 mm/s, to get a more accurate printing. I recommend to print the idler with at least 50% Infill for the bracket and 100% infill for the pulley and pulley insertion.
Let me know if there are any kind of problems with the idler. I will try to help and if neccessary correct the designs. I appreciate any kind of feedback to these mountings.
If you like my work and find it really usefull then I would be very happy if you give me a small tip as an appreciation for my work.
