Modelled off a Red Back Spider, this easy to print spider is perfect to freak out that loved one of yours.

This guys legs are pretty thin, so use a smaller nozzle for better results. The spider scales well and can be printed bigger and scarier!

Shaping:
I shaped the legs after printing, I poured boiling water into a mug and dipped half the spiders legs in the water until soft, quickly shaping each leg. The spider will try go back to its original shape if it gets too hot. You may need to boil the jug again because this can take some time! Quicker dips or just using hot/warm water and tweezers can be useful to get finer positioning of the limbs without your previous work getting undone.

A soldering iron can also be used to bend the legs, by just heating the joints and bending them into shape. You have a little more control with this method, but it takes longer. Do this in a well ventilated area.

Hairs!:
Using wet or stringy filament or settings to increase the stringiness of the print will make more realistic and scaryer. Use scissors or clippers to trim the hairs short.

If you have an easier method of posing these spiders let everyone know!
Suggestions, feedback and tips welcome :)

Enjoy!
