This is the Extruder/Feeder from the Ultimaker 2+, which I’ve reinforced and slightly modified.
The extruder housing has been upgraded by removing the original arm axle and replacing it with a threaded hole for an M5 countersunk bolt. This change improves structural strength and reduces the risk of warping in the extruder arm. Additionally, the top section of the housing has been extensively modified to accommodate a threaded push-fit connector (as shown in the photos).
The extruder arm has also been reinforced: the original connector pegs have been removed and replaced with a hole, countersunk to accept an M3 bolt. This ensures both parts are securely clamped together for maximum durability.
No major additional parts are required to use this extruder—just a couple of standard bolts. Any holes that need threading are already sized correctly and do not require additional drilling.
Hardware Used: M5 x 20 Countersunk 2x M3 x 10 Buttonhead
As always, I look forward to seeing your prints and hearing your feedback!
