Customizable badge holder V3

Simple/robust card holder for credit-card sized badges which includes a customizable text section. Click "Open in Customizer" to personalize it, or use OpenSCAD directly.

This is a further evolution of my own Single/double ID Card holder. You'd think you'd be remembered for fixing an instrument or designing something useful, but in my case it's most often because they've got a personalized badge. I'm not even mad ;).

These badge holders are the most requested/printed thing in our lab: this remix includes a couple years of battle-tested tweaks to enhance and reinforce the holder to last as long as possible.

Prints without support. For greater longevity, print at 0.2 layers, 2 perimeters, 5 top/bottom layers, 20% grid infill using PETG.

Includes both a "blank" holder which can be printed straight away and a customizable version which allows one or two lines of text to be embedded in the back.
