Good cases are not always easy to find. Therefore, I designed my own for the Anbernic RG 35XX H.
This case is an easy print without the need for support materials. You can go fancy, however.
The print you see in the pictures was done on my Prusa XL, utilizing two print heads to get the embossed text printed in gold Sunlu PLA, while the body is in charcoal black Polymaker PLA.
No, the text is NOT part of the object. The text is set as a modifier inside PrusaSlicer, and you can inspect the setup in the provided 3MF project.
The font I am using in my print is called “Ethnocentric”. You can find it here:
As this font has some license restrictions, the provided 3MF project uses the Tahoma font.
The surface finish you see in the pictures is also not part of the model. I accomplished this by using a specially textured build plate, which you can find here:
But you can also go all plain.
What is required, however, are four 8 mm x 3 mm magnets, like the following:
While writing this description, I found these black magnets, which would look dope in the black case: https://amzn.to/43kfx42. I will definitely try them out.
Lastly, you can go with Prusa's standard print settings, but I went with
Snap the lid onto the base; it may look hard, but with just a little pressure and slight bending, it should all fit in place nicely.
Push two magnets into the base. Most 3 mm magnets are only 2.8 mm, so make sure to push them all the way in using something like an allen key.
Place another magnet on top of the installed ones and close the lid, pushing those two magnets into the recesses of the lid. This way, you prevent a wrong orientation of the magnets, which would render your print useless.
Lastly, push those magnets all in, too.
The bigger the gap between the magnets, the easier it is to open the lid.
