Tripod replacement partS

The 20+ year old plastic broke on my wife's camera tripod. The black parts are the originals, the white is replacement. I first printed the two fit critical parts separately until I had good fits. Then merged them together. This approach can save you printing time.

2020 UPDATE Another original part failure, so another replacement part designed and added.

How I Designed This

Designed with OpenScad. This part has two critical parts to fit to rest of the tripod. I printed these two parts separately for a few test prints before combining into the final part.

Second replacement part (that camera connects to) was designed with Fusion360. First replacement part was printed in ABS and is going on five years of light use. Second replacement printed in PETG.
