PDF

A simple box that holds a small CCTV solar panel. Has an SMA connector for an antenna and is designed to be mounted on top of a 15x15mm square tube, pipe, or wooden stake driven into the ground.

Fusion360 source included, it's a mess but it's there if you need a different solar panel or stake.

Solar panel recommended: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008564961293.html or change the source file for whatever panel you have. Make sure you change the hole location, it's different from one model to another.

I used a rubber cement to glue it on, you can use sanitary silicone, or whatever you feel like.

Print instructions: no supports, see image for orientation. there are built-in supports for the overhang area around the antenna. You will have to poke through the antenna hole after it's done printing, it's just 1 layer wide so it should be easy.

Bill of Materials:

  • 1pcs. Solar panel (marketed as ‘10W 5V CCTV solar panel’ white housing, original 168.7x116mm)
  • 4pcs. M4 threaded heat-set inserts
  • 1pcs. SMA connector
  • 1pcs. 12mm Key switch (or button, you might have to drill it out a bit)
  • 1pcs. metal stake (I used a 15mm aluminium pipe cut at 45 degrees to go into the ground)
