These are three mounting options for the Kenwood TM-D700 radio head that I've used recently.

The first is a direct low-profile 20mm ball mount (for use with 67designs, Bulletpoint Mounts, or any other arm that expects a 20mm ball). Pause the print at the top of the hex inlay in the ball, insert a ¼" nut and continue the print. Then thread a ¼" socket head bolt into the nut from the front and tighten down. The bolt makes it stronger than the Kenwood head itself. Without it, it'll easily break at the layer lines.

The second is similar to the first, but with the ball offset to the top of the head, allowing for better alignment on a dash where you want the head to sink below. Use the same approach above with the bolt and nut.

The third uses a ¼" socket head bolt to thread into a mounting surface above the head. I used a magnet base with a standard ¼" female (like a tripod camera mount) from a gopro.
