A back mount for my Tron Legacy Identity Disc. Primarily printed in CF-PETG and secured to a jacket using 6 to 8 M5x5mm heatset inserts.
To secure the disc to the mount, a combination of x8 12mmx3mm and x8 1.57"x0.53"x.020" Bar magnets are required. Each set of magnets will be installed stacked 2 at a time; with the bar magnets, stack them such that the steel carrier is located at the top. I've found the steel carrier interferes too much with the pull strength if its left in the middle of the stack and you'll want to pry 4 from their carriers. Glue or pressfit the magnets as necessary. I recommend using E6000 as its strong and forgiving.
Post process the disc holder as necessary.
For Installation on a jacket:
Use the support bracket as your hole template. Cut or punch holes in your jacket to your desired height and hole count. I very heavily recommend using eyelets/grommets to clean the holes up and make future servicing easier. Secure the disc holder using M5x8mm screws.
The Identity Disc was sourced from trondisc.com. This seller also sells their own back mount, but I already had the disc and wanted the challenge of making my own.
