Gaff Master 3D

this is the Gaff Master 3D. a tape roller for rolling out cables on the floor with a 2 inch roll of gaff tape. It is not perfect, but it works.

 on top of printing all the parts, Tape Roll Axel, Handel, Roller, Roller Axel, Tape Roller, and body, 

you will need to print two of the Front axel, and Front wheel as well as Two of the optional Roller Latch.

the Center Roller is printed out of TPU 95A and you will need 3 of those to mount on the center roller, this is where the tape will be applied to the cable and it needs something soft to mold around the cable while holding it down, you can make this out of foam but i have found the foam eventually wears out. 

The axels are held in place by friction, and depending on your Filament of choice may need a little work sanding  to fit. 

The optional Roller latches can be screwed into place and they will hold your roll in. I used a 5mm machine screw on mine.  the handle and body are connected by ½ inch Dowl Rods, i got mine from the local Meijer. 

I find this works with PLA and PETG but what ever your filament of choice is, you will want the body to be heavy, my self i used a whole 1kg roll just on the body. and due to balance you will want the handle to be light. 

once you assemble the parts, you are ready to use. Load your tape, and mount the whole unite on top of your cable with a tail of tape laid down manually, them simply walk it out pushing the unite down and forward at the same time, the V shaped grove at the front will guide your cable in but if you want a nice strait line i find it works best if you tape the cable down on both ends. you will love it, it works On everything from power cables down to ethernet,
