This case is specifically designed for a Wemos D1 Mini (ESP8266) with a USB-C connector and a 4-pin JST-XH connector.

Place a small piece of Kapton tape (or other heat- and insulation-resistant tape) over the antenna area of the Wemos D1 Mini, on the side where the JST connector pins are located.
The distance between the antenna trace and the JST pins is quite small, which could lead to a short circuit during assembly.
Adding a small piece of Kapton tape prevents this risk while maintaining good antenna performance.
In the opening aligned with the LED on the Wemos D1 Mini, insert a short piece of clear filament.
Then carefully melt it flat from the inside using the tip of a warm soldering iron.
