I purchased this lens [Olympus 35-100mm F2 ED for Four Thirds (and it is no longer in production, was very expensive when it was originally sold,) and it was missing the tripod collar, so I made one to replace it. There are four parts that need to be printed, first the tripod nut holder, as it 'holds' the 1/4-20 hex nut that is placed inside the tripod lens adapter when it is printed, depending on your slicer at 17.4mm heights.

The metal parts required are:

  1. 1/4-20 Hex Nut

  2. 1/4-20 Hex Coupler -7/8" long (~22.4mm)

  3. 6mm Cross Dowels Slotted Barrel Nuts - 20mm long

  4. 6mm Hex Head Bolt x 70mm

  5. 1/4-20 Hex Bolt x 1"

Some additional printing notes.

  1. Using PrusaSlicer, you can put in additional shapes to strengthen various parts of the print and stop supports from printing at various locations. There is a locator notch and hole on the tripod lens adapter that I didn't want supports, the rest of the ring portion needs supports, so block off the top of the print and it will look nicer

  2. Internal strengthening was added to the tripod lens adapter at the adjustment hole and the attachment point for the long hex bolt, which I made solid.
