I designed this plate so that I could use my F1rst Layer dual gear all metal extruder upgrade. This was made specifically for the Ender 5 plus with the extruder gear that DOES NOT have a set screw. The original gear comes off relatively easy if you get some WD-40 into it, let it sit, the put the motor in a vice and use a prybar (gently) to remove the gear.
This mounting plate accounts for use of the filament runout sensor as well, and has slotted holes so that you can laterally adjust the placement of the sensor in order to line it up best with your extruder.
It is surprisingly sturdy, which is why I am posting this here. Originally I was going to have someone machine this mounting plate out in aluminum, because I worried that it wouldn't be strong enough with the motor mounted onto the back.
Be aware that you will need to use M3x25 screws and M3 nuts for the filament sensor, as the original screws are not long enough to reach all the way through the plate.
