In an effort to learn how to use FreeCAD, I created this modular, wall-mountable jewelry display system composed of hexagonal sections that hold different kinds of jewelry. Each section will slot together with any other section. The two attachments fit the male and female parts of the connection if you would like to mount it to the wall using a string or chain.
I've provided the FreeCAD file if you'd like to modify or extend anything.
The connections have about 0.3mm tolerance on the female side since I found that works pretty well with my printer to give a fit tight enough to hold things together but not so tight that I have to fight it.
When printing the rod sections, I suggest printing with the rods portion on the print bed. The pocket sections print best with the back portion on the bed.
