This is a really nice design. It uses less filament to print than the SLANT spool did. But it was too big for my Creality (and other generic) filament refills (they are 82mm inside diameter). So I resized the center from 100 mm to 81.75 mm and covered over the 100x62 inlaid text. I also added a solid infill to allow for labels. I have included a pop-in label plate for this, as well. It just friction fits securely so you can attach any self-adhesive label (self-made or the one that comes with the refill). I recommend the label plates be printed with PETg as the prongs need to bend a little to fit into the slots on the spool. They hold really well and they are easy to change!
To use this design with bigger diameter spools, just print a sleeve to make up the difference (e.g. 82mm inside diameter, 100mm outside diameter, like a short piece of pipe) and you can use the remix spool for all your refill needs. I have a sleeve for 92mm and 100mm spools.
Kudos to the original designer! His design works REALLY WELL and is frugal on the filament usage.
The author remixed this model.
Resized the center spool from 100mm to 81.75, added a section to attach a label plate (also included in the remix) and covered over the 100x62mm text (as this no longer applied).
