The bending radius of the USB cable from the factory is way too small, this will cause issues inside the cable, as well as pull inside the connector. Over time this could lead to the USB cable breaking, and in some cases the print head becoming a space heater(allegedly).
This removes the strain from the connector, and also increases the bend radius a bit. There's options for mounting using just pressure fit, or by using the screw for the cable chain and USB cable. The mounts for the USB screws will need to bend down a little bit to go far enough in. Yes there are holes and thin walls in the model, I don't think they can be fixed due to the design constraints of the cable and connector. Print with a .2mm nozzle if you don't want thin walls.
I printed using PC-CF but it's probably better off being printed in Nylon. It can print without supports but I painted on support just in case. You'll want to pull as much slack as possible and also remove the cable from the chain about 5 links down.
