Description

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต ๅคง้˜ชใธใ‚ˆใ†ใ“ใ!  ๐Ÿฏ
Welcome to Osaka!

Osaka Castle (ๅคงๅ‚ๅŸŽ or ๅคง้˜ชๅŸŽ, ลŒsaka-jล) is one of Japan's most famous landmarks and played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century.

This model was made by Arthur Grygoryan, with details by Dany Sรกnchez. It can be printed large or in resin perfectly and in colors with MMU/AMS.

๐Ÿ’ก It can also be used as a lantern or lamp by inserting a light source inside the base.

๐ŸŽจ Pre-painted 3MF file available.

About the Castle

The inner keep of Osaka Castle is situated on a plot of land roughly one square kilometer. It is built on two raised platforms of landfill supported by sheer walls of cut rock, and has both an inner and outer moat. The the tenshu (ๅคฉๅฎˆ, main keep), the most prominent structure, was used as a storehouse in times of peace and as a fortified tower in times of war. It is five stories on the outside and eight stories on the inside, built atop a tall stone foundation to protect its occupants from attackers.

The history of its construction follows many series of phases and destructions over centuries.

In 1583 Toyotomi Hideyoshi commenced construction on the site, with the intention of surpassing Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle, featuring many levels and gold leaf decorations. In 1615, the Tokugawa Shogunate took Osaka Castle and destroyed it after sieges and conflict. The Tokugawa Shogunate took control and rebuilt it by 1628. It was destroyed again in 1665 by a fire. It had a restoration in 1843 and then again in 1931 when the modern Meiji Government rebuilt the tenshu in concrete and steel to be used as an armory. It was destroyed for the last time in 1945 during WWII, and restored to its modern and current state in 1997, featuring a concrete construction with elevators and a museum, while the exterior is the appearance it had in the Edo/Tokugawa feudal period (1600-1868) (from Wikipedia).

Note: This model has small parts that were generated with an image-to-STL tool;  however we do no consider this entry as โ€œAIโ€ generated because over 98% of the geometry was modeled by humans in parametric software and Tinkercad, and all components were combined and modified by humans in PrusaSlicer.  The only AI generated components are:
- Fish decorations crowning roofs and sculptures of tigers on the main hall - AI generated with Printpal.io from photographs of the real statues in the museum.
