Similar to the Pest Mascot a few days ago this is a creature from Strixhaven. It's supposed to be tiny but the level of detail just wouldn't work at that scale so I made small / medium versions of it. With creatures like this AI tends to fall flat and while I'd like to say I didn't use AI at all I still used part of the head from the AI generated version so I'll keep it labelled as an AI model.

For the body I did my usual curve + depth until I had a form that I liked then I spent HOURS trying to find a good way to add scales to it. I had tried this in the past with mixed results and after the many hours I just bought a geo nodes solution on Super Hive which kinda worked and then I went through the process of refinining for print etc... I made my own scale object and then tacked that all over the AI creatures head which created the result you see - the only part of the AI model that remains are the horns / back head spikes etc... I could have just done that by hand but I wanted to get this model #done.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the result - I have a number of other serpent-like creatures that I want to do so I really need to figure out how best to add scales and other uniform properties (legs, segments, etc.. etc....)

That's it for this fractal mascot for now.

I'm on a quest to make 1000 dnd models in 2025 and you can join me on Thingiverse, Printables, Cults3d or see my weekly updates on Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/c/Adamnant (as well as get codes for exclusive downloads on Cults3d). I'm focusing on models that don't seem to exist on Printables / Thingiverse and are listed in campaigns. If you have something that you need let me know and I can add it to my list.
