A plunge base with a depth stop.

For hardware:

  • 2x 3/8" rod.3/8" rod: 4.5" length
  • 2x ¼" hex head bolt, 1.25" (or 1.5") length
  • 1x ¼" hex head bolt, 2.5" length
  • 3x ¼" hex nut
  • 2x 3/8" compression springs, 1.25" length

The 1 longer bolt is for the depth stop. The 2 shorter bolts sit inside the handles, with thread into the hex nuts in the base. The nuts in the base must be epoxied/glued in their slots in the base.

A possible improvement would be to make the handles glue directly to the base. There's no great reason for them to be removable, and that drops 4x of the parts.

Printed in PLA. 6 perimeter layers. It's worth looking at the .3mf to see my recommendations – the handles are less demanding. Part of why the base should have extra perimeters is to ensure it stays flat.
