How to Use a Knitting Ring

Prepare

Choose a ring size that fits your project (hat, scarf, sock, etc.).

Get your yarn and loom pick (hook tool).

Cast On

Wrap the yarn around each peg once until you complete the circle.

The most common method is the e-wrap cast on: wrap the yarn in an “e” shape around each peg.

Start Knitting

After the first round, wrap the yarn around the pegs again for a second row.

Use the loom pick to lift the bottom loop over the top loop and into the center of the ring.

This forms a knitted stitch.

Continue

Repeat the process: wrap the yarn, then lift the bottom loops over the top.

The knitting will grow downward through the center of the ring.

Cast Off / Finish

When your project reaches the desired length, carefully move each loop off the pegs and onto a yarn strand (or a needle).

Pull the yarn through all loops and tighten to close the piece.
