If you have ETC's Blue Dome running lights in your theatre, you may be aware that they are a bit prone to getting broken, particularly when people smash road cases or pianos into them. I created a beefier dome for this reason. It can still get broken, but if you keep some of these as replacements, you can easily swap them out.
I make these out of Carbon Fiber-infused PETG, for extra strength. Also, print these on an angle, with supports, to minimize weakness in the horizontal layering. Check out the photos to see the arrangement I use for supports when printing.
