I never could find a baseplate that had magnets on the bottom side, so I created a remix of one of my favorite baseplates by RIP_Plu_Koon, but made some modifications to reduce plastic, print times, magnet usage, and assembly time. If you want to see some videos on the design process and choices are links to my favorite magnets for this, they're on my website.
Most of my storage racks and drawers are metal, and securing via magnets is the way to go. Their baseplates are my all time favorites and I use them everywhere, but I wanted to make some changes.
For right now, I only had time to draft up the 5x5 version, so that is all that is available. But, I'm sharing the .STEP file in case anyone else wants to modify it for themselves or make it parametric and what not. Have at it. I left empty folders as placeholders if I ever get around to making the other sizes, so don't be weirded out that when the only parts you see start with E instead of A. 😂. There are two versions, the standard which uses the 12mm x 3mm magnets, and the heavy duty which uses 16mm x 5mm magnets.
