This is a combination holder for LCD 2004 20x4 Display Module and ESP8266 development boards. I created this with a hinged top so that it can be fully opened to wire up the boards and to place the LCD panel and sensors. The holes for the ESP8266 development boards fit the two different size boards that I've encountered (I think these are v2 and v3). I mount the ESP8266 using M3 nylon standoffs. I use the same standoffs for the DHT22 sensor.
I placed holes to screw in the LCD panel - but the fit on my printer is nearly perfect and it just snaps in place and stays put without any additional screws.
In my example, I am connecting this using Home Assistant to obtain the time and values of remote temperature/humidity sensors (Attic and Patio). I also have placed a DHT22 sensor inside the unit.
Shout out to rohingosling for the parametric hinge design that was adapted for use in this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2187167
