My local club plays at 150fps, and all of our Ontos builds were hitting at least 180. One of our members discovered that a 225mm barrel combined with this 1.3 x 248 Kunlun spring from Out of Darts allowed the blaster to reliably and consistently hit an average of 150fps. The only problem being that a 225mm barrel does not stick out past the collet. So I modified a few of the parts and came up with this remix.
20mm has been removed from the front body and the slide so that the priming distance is still the same. With the weaker spring, the smaller slide does not introduce any issues. The collet has also been remixed to use a straight thread instead of a tapered one, and instead of clamping down around the barrel, it pushes the barrel firmly back into the breach to secure it in place. For this reason, it's important to make sure the length of your barrel is exactly 225mm. Barrels that are 1-2mm longer will probably work fine, but shorter barrels won't.
There are three choices of collets included with this set:
This file set only includes the modified parts. You will still need to get the rest of the parts from the main Ontos file set. Please refer to the Ontos build instructions for assembly and printing orientations.
The author remixed this model.
Ontos: remixed the front end of the blaster including the body, slide and barrel collet.
BC DCAR: Merged the DCAR with the ontos collet front end so that it could be directly screwed on.
RIPPCAR: Same as above
