WARNING! Do not install this on a stock MakerBot Replicator! I have modified my machine and am no longer using the MightyBoard! I'm using a Creality 4.2.7 Board which supports this sensor.
If you use this on the stock setup you can break your printer, since this increases the width of the Extruder assembly. Keep this in mind if you also have a modified machine!
Furthermore the stock MightyBoard can't even do anything with this sensor, so there is no real reason to add it, unless your machine is using a different motherboard!
Since Ive rebuilt my MakerBot Replicator 2 using a Creality 4.2.7 Board, I wanted to add the possibility for automatic bed leveling.
This thing allows you to attach a BLTouch or 3D Touch to the extruder assembly.
You may need to remove the existing fan cover and glue the air vent into the fan, because the screws could be too short.
The Sensor gets mounted from the top and can be adjusted in height by using washers, to make sure there is enough clearance.
Again, just keep in mind that adding this will increase the Size of the Exteruder in the X-Axis, slightly decreasing the volume in width by about 15mm to 20mm. Overlooking this could smash the extruder into the left assembly wich could break the BLTouch or cause damage on the printer!
