Quick connect disassembly for the Nano Skyhunter! Make this nano sized plane actually pack into a nano sized bag rather than gluing the wings together as is intended.

I've designed a three-part keyed lock for the wing-to-boom mount that prints easily and just requires a little flattening of the wing foam and a small hole. The elevator mount is an extended shroud that nicely holds things in place.

The nano skyhunter comes with a cutout for a pan servo. I use and recommend the TGY-R5180MG 180º servo. If you extend to 700-2300 PWM pulses (on either your FC or transmitter) you can easily got 270º of rotation out of it like I do!

I've included my pan attachment I designed for a Caddx Nebula. Printing it requires super high accuracy printing: first-layer-height needs to be perfect for the integrated servo horn receiver to slot in easily. Flow & coasting need to be near perfect. I used my dialed-in 0.2mm first layer with 0.12mm after that, standard 0.4mm nozzle, and Fusion Filaments HTPLA+. If all else fails try 0.2mm nozzle!

Post your make!

Please post 'em! Really! Take a quick cameraphone photo of your print in all its glory and show it off! Plus it really helps get this design out there to the world.

Message me on discord/telegram for

  • customizations
  • different engravings
  • different variation ideas
  • any issues: printing, design, fit, etc
  • to show off / geek out about your result
  • say howdy

Designing stuff is fun but interacting with cool people and hearing about their adventures is better. I can generate any variation / engraving easily, message me on discord/telegram and/or leave a comment and let's make your perfect version. I only ask that you post a make!

If you'd like the CAD or STEP file too, no problem. I've already helped a bunch of great folks! Send me a ping
