Some people print the regular Benchy to test their overhangs.
And then there’s you, printing the Corpse Bride Benchy because you want to know if your printer can handle… eternal love. 💍⚓
This model doesn’t just whisper “you’re calibrated,” it also sighs “till death do us part.”

Legend says Benchy was born as a test boat. Then Tim Burton showed up, and suddenly the boat needed a bridal dress with tulle, blue roses, and gothic embroidery. Some believe this Benchy sails between worlds: half in the sea of mortals, half in the lake of broken hearts. Others simply claim it’s the perfect print to watch Corpse Bride for the 47th time without guilt.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Layer height: 0.16 mm
  • Print time: ~4.5 hours
  • Weight: ~75 g PLA (supports included – that embroidered sail doesn’t stand on its own)
  • Infill: 10%
  • Supports: required

🎨 Painting Tips

  • Hull & Cabin: White primer, then a base of light blue. Blend with deeper blues near the bottom to simulate the sea merging with the hull.
  • Floral Decorations: Acrylics for the small details: pale pink for the flowers, muted green for the vines.
  • Sail: White base in fabric or painted PLA, with a large blue rose shaded from dark to light. Add subtle grey shadows along the edges for a “worn by time” look.
  • Embroidery: Use a fine brush or acrylic pen to recreate lace and gothic details. A soft grey wash adds depth.
  • Gentle Aging: A light dirty-grey dry brush along the edges for that straight-out-of-a-gothic-fairytale effect.

Print it, paint it, and place it on your nightstand. Congrats: you now own the first Benchy that sails both the seas of calibration and the realm of broken hearts. 💙⚓

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The original Benchy is a technical print test, useful but emotionless.
This version turns the boat into a tiny romantic-gothic artwork, with floral details, ethereal colors, and an embroidered sail that tells a love story from beyond the grave.
