Very functional front cover for the MSI Claw 8 AI+.
This case was designed as a way to protect your buttons/joysticks, cover the screen, and buttons up top while allowing a super small form factor.
I usually use this when I want to toss it into my tactical “fanny pack” to carry around.
It's not meant to offer drop protection or anything, but mainly keep the joysticks from being pushed down and anything in your bag scratching at the front of your device.
You can use 1mm thick felt tape to cover the screen area to offer a soft surface for your Claw's screen to lay on. You can also put some on the bottom/top to help keep your device from being scratched since 3D prints aren't always perfect.
On Printing:
The model is split into two since most printers won't be able to handle printing this in a whole.
You can use either super glue or PLA Gloop to combine them.
I print this on my Bambu X1 Carbon with mostly default settings with PLA.
I do use tree supports.
You can print this at an angle or do what I do which is print it flat on the sides. Supports should be easy enough to remove, and once you combine both pieces, slot the Claw in top first, then push the bottom in.
