If you have a Quicko T12 soldering iron with a metal handle, one of the big weaknesses of the wiring in the handle is that there is no strain relief built in. This little piece fits into the little notch and gives a spot for a cable tie.
The first time I assembled this handle, the wire from the mercury switch snapped from twisting. This has helped the problem and makes me feel more confident the wires won't snap again.
Note, I didn't glue the piece into the notch as the aluminum handle case sits pretty flush with where the strain relief piece slots in.
Since it's such a small piece it's hard to print perfectly, but it doesn't need to look good anyways :)
