Heat Insert tool press bracket for Pillar drill

A simple bracket to enable you to use your pillar drill as a heat insert press.

I was going to print one of the many designs of heat insert press tools available but then thought why not use my drill press and not have another tool top have to find a home :-)  The drill press is certainly man enough and far stronger than anything I could print.

I created 2 designs, one with a locking bolt but then found it was such a good friction fit on the foam on the tool it didn't need it and the pressure is only pushing into the flange anyway so cant slip through.

Hardware Required

M8 Carriage bolt ~ 60mm

M5 nut and bolt ~ 35mm if using bolt version

Fits common Heat insert tool available from multiple suppliers on Ebay / Amazon
 

I printed in PLA - was initially going to just be a test but has worked fine so seems plenty strong and suitable though PETG etc may be a better option
