I received a request for a 9-sided die with tactile markings. I was asked to use tactile bumps instead of braille characters. I found “The Donny” D9 die and added the pips I created for my previous tactile dice model.
I've posted 3 files that can be used to create a single color or multi-color die.
I rotated this model before printing so that only one small point was touching the bed, and I let the supports act as the primary contact point for the bed. I tried to rotate the model so the very top surface was flat. You could also try aligning one of the edges along the bed, rather than just a single point. I would generally not recommend printing this with the pips lying flat on the bed, as that side of the die will not print cleanly.
The author remixed this model.
