This model was requested by a friend of mine. I remixed the Floating Gear Rack Organizer by emancarrillo to fit our needs and am happy with the result. After the small success of my Vertical bike wall mount here I thought let's also share this one.

It's fitted for wooden sticks with a diameter of 25 mm. In my example, I used a 1 m long one.

I printed it in standard PLA and it's strong enough.

Installation instructions (see also my rendered images for explanation):

1) To attach the wooden rod to the holders, you need to screw a screw into the wooden rod near both ends. Leave the screws protruding slightly from the rod so that you can then insert them into the corresponding recesses in the two holders (step 2 in the diagram at the bottom right). Make sure that the distance between the holders corresponds to that of the screws. However, how large this should be is a matter of taste and entirely up to you. To help you insert the screws into the wood easily and perfectly parallel (with or without pre-drilling), the drilling aid shown in the image below left is included in the package. This is no longer needed for assembly.

2) Both brackets that connect the wooden rod to the wall have their screws at the top for optimal power transmission and stability.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • Edited diameters of all parts to fit 25 mm wooden sticks
  • Adjusted the wall mount for better force distribution
