Tired of using inefficient battery box designs that waste space — and of batteries rolling around in drawers, hiding at the bottom of toolboxes, or rattling loose in kitchen junk drawers? This hex-pattern battery organizer is different: the hexagon geometry packs in maximum capacity while staying compact, and it’s the first design of its kind you’ll find on Printables.

• Optimized Hex Design – honeycomb geometry means maximum capacity in a compact footprint.

• Big Capacity – holds 27 or 52 batteries for AA, AAA, or 18650 batteries. 10 for C and D variants.

• Optional Lid – slide the lid on to keep things neat in a drawer, or leave it open on the bench for quick grab-and-go access. There are two lid options per base: lid with clamps (snap shut) or lid without clamps. Base is the same regardless of which lid type you want.

• Clearly Labeled – lids are embossed with battery type on the side, with a carved label on top so you’ll never mix them up.

• Print-Friendly – no supports needed. Base and lids are separate models, so you can print just what you need. A base and lid can be printed on a single sheet!

This design combines the efficiency of hexagons (nature’s favorite shape) with the practicality of a tidy storage solution. Whether you’re stocking up for game controllers, workshop tools, or kids’ toys, you’ll always know exactly where your batteries live.
