Description

PDF

I previously owned a SpaceNavigator and 3D printed this handrest.
Unfortunately, I could not find a similar handrest for the SpaceMouse Compact. So I designed this part.
It is tested with SpaceMouse Compact 3DX-600053 (corded version).

A version with additional macro keys is also under development.

Update: dustcover is now available in the files section

Available Files :

  • handrest_with_pocket: this version is as shown in the rendered images, including the pocket for some kind of foam or leather to rest your hand on
  • handrest_no_pocket: main part for the handrest in case you do not want the triangular pocket
  • handrest_mouse_base: base to put the m
  • leather: in case you want to print the pocket inlay from some soft material
  • leather_blueprint.pdf: In case you want to fit some foam or fabric into the pocket print this from Acrobat Reader with the setting “actual size” and cut around it. I used a piece of leather and glued it 3D printed part with "UHU Por"
  • dustcover: matching cap to cover the 3D mouse while not in use

Depending on your desk surface you may need to glue some foam underneath the handrest to prevent it from moving around. I have some cork mats on my desk, so for m,e it works great without the foam.
You may also print the inlay in a different color.

Printing Instructions

  • Prusament PETG Urban Grey
  • layer height 0.15mm
  • No raft
  • No support (support for the inlay only)

Feedback Appreciated
