IF-Cut: Inline Filament Cutter

Simple universal inline filament cutter for the 3MS and other MMU's

BETA Notice:

This is a beta and there are a few things planned for future revisions (contributions welcome!):

• Cut tip collector (now beta)
• Integrated filament sensor after the cutter
• Integrated Y-splitter before cutter (now beta)

BOM:

• 1x 20kg Servo (Amazon US)
• 1x 18mm Snap-off Blade (Amazon US)
• 6x Voron M3 heat-set inserts (Amazon US)
• 6x M3x6mm or longer SCHS
• 2x ECAS04 fitting (Amazon US)

Build Instructions:

1. Install the metal horn that came with the servo onto the servo.
2. Install four M3 heat set inserts (Voron spec) into the main body on the side facing up in the rendering.
3. Install two M3 heat set inserts (Voron spec) for the tip collector in the places shown in the second rendering.
4. Install the ECAS fitting into the main body (red) and arm (green) with a rubber mallet.
5. Install the servo into the main body with four M3x6mm SHCS (or longer)
6. Install the tip collector lid onto the main body with four M3x6mm SHCS/BHCS (or longer)
7. Install the 18mm blade into the main body with a couple drops of superglue.
8. Install the arm onto the servo horn with two bolts that came with the servo.
