This is a STEP model of a BMW motorcycle key blank. I designed the key blank as accurately as possible based on a laser scan and various measurements. The central longitudinal grooves on both sides are the same for all keys, and the various notches can be easily traced onto the blank using a photo overlay (e.g. Fusion 360 Canvas or similar) and then cut out to a depth of 1 mm. 

I recommend printing the key on a smooth printing plate and ironing the surfaces. For better smoothness, I recommend using PLA as a support or breakaway layer when printing with PETG and using a multi-material printer for a smooth surface (see 3MF project file). My keys work perfectly in the side cases and top case after adding a little lubricant.

Das ist ein STEP-Modell eines BMW Motorrad-Schlüsselrohlings. Ich habe den Schlüsselrohling auf Basis eines Laserscans und diverser Messungen so genau wie mir möglich konstruiert. Die mittleren beidseitigen Längsvertiefungen sind bei allen Schlüsseln gleich und die verschiedenen Einkerbungen lassen sich leicht mit einer Fotoüberblendung (z. B. Fusion 360 Canvas o.ä.) auf dem Rohling nachskizzieren und dann jeweils 1 mm ausschneiden. 

Ich empfehle den Druck des Schlüssel auf einem glatten Druckblech und das Bügeln der Oberflächen. Für bessere Leichtgängigkeit empfehle ich beim Druck mit PETG und der Verwendung eines Multimaterialdruckers für eine glatte Oberfläche PLA als Support oder Breakaway-Schicht (Vgl. 3MF-Projektdatei). Meine Schlüssel funktionieren in den Seitenkoffern und im Topcase nach Zugabe von etwas Schmiermittel problemlos.
