This is an extension piece to mount anything you want (but mainly the point is to mount a focus ring holder) to a Robocup cup holder using a mounting system designed by Alexandre Valentim on Focuspulleratwork (I haven't found his version but I believe it's his work originally, the mounting system might be cedricheckly's as well so I noted the remix from his design). Mainly for Film & TV workers like camera assistants, grips or light electricians, but you can mount anything on this if you happen to have a Robocup for other reasons.
(Robocup is a robust cup holder that you can mount to a vertical bar, like a monitor stand or Magliner corner bar. No affiliation, but here's a link to them https://www.prisma.film/RoboCup-Black )
Printing:
- Rafts: No
- Supports: Yes
- Resolution: 0.2
- Infill: 20-35% Cubic
- Filament material: PETG (probable outdoor use)
- At least 4 wall loops
- Use tree supports, easier to push through from the slots. Get a small knife in there and wiggle them loose and just push through. I didn't dare to print the tie slots without supports myself, but it might be possible I guess.
Your options for using this with other stuff
- You can also download cedricheckly's design, and use that full system of battery holder and WCU- or Nucleus ring holder, but now also attached to a Robocup. His version only has female attachments to a stand or superclamp. They are however 100% cross-compatible with these ones.
- You can use the modified one-way male part to attach to any of your own designs. NOTE: This part is not meant to be printed on it's own. I made this for the sole purpose of printing it attached to something else. It's uploaded right side up.
- You can use the unmodified "WCU_RING_CLIP_MALE" which is also found in cedricheckly's design to screw into something. The 4 holes are for M3 Socket Head Cap screws.
- And the obvious: use reusable zipties to mount the female bracket on to Robocup. Velcro could work but I don't think it's strong enough. Velcro is strong and has perfect friction to stay put but still be movable.

Differences of the remix compared to the original
Designed my own robocup attachment around one of the female dovetail pieces found in the above listing. It seems the original design is by Alexandre Valentim on Focuspulleratwork but couldn't find it so linking GrandCedre's model.
