Description

PDF

This miniature TeensyROM case is designed for the Retro Remake NFC PCBs that come with their MiSTer FPGA NFC Reader Pack.  If you want to use overly elaborate NFC tags with your TeensyROM, or the idea of littering your desk with tiny TeensyROMs makes you giddy, then this is for you!

If you don't have (enough of) those PCBs, a model of one is included here.

Printing

The models are designed for a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12mm layer height.  No supports are needed.

Assembly

  1. Apply an NFC tag sticker to the bottom side of the PCB.
  2. Place the PCB in bottom case shell.
  3. Use a bit of glue to affix the USB port to the top case shell.
  4. Place the button in the round hole in the top case shell.  (It will hold itself in place when the case is assembled.)
  5. Align the top case shell on the bottom case shell and press them together.  Whether the case stays together on its own can depend on the filament used and printer calibration.  You can always use a small bit of glue on the side edges if necessary.
  6. Put a piece of double-sided tape on the bottom of the heatsink.  Press it into the square hole in the case to fasten it to the PCB.
  7. Similarly use a piece of double-stick tape to install and fasten the RJ45 jack to the PCB.
  8. Tap away!
