I had previously printed the Ender 3 handle and attached the camera mount found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2957507 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3317132

The problem with this handle and mount combination was that it was very susceptible to vibration from X/Y movement of the bed. This led to blurry timelapses. Additionally, after a week or so, the handle started to deform under the weight of the mounted camera until the camera mount was touching the Y-axis belt!

I decided to design my own reinforced handle that would be less susceptible to vibration and deformation. This handle is much more sturdy, but requires more material to print (~116g including supports using my print settings, ~73g for the actual object excluding supports).

The supports were not too difficult to remove, but it was time consuming. Ensure you have a stiff sharp edge to pry away the edges of the supports inbetween the mounting jaws. Once you have separated the supports from the body of the object, they are easy to pull out assuming you have printed with an adequate Z-distance (I used 0.2mm).

This handle may be possible to print vertically to reduce the amount of support required and to make removal easier, but I have not tried it.

The camera mount arm contains a 6.5mm groove which allows a standard 1/4-20 tripod screw to fix a standard camera fitting to the arm.
