The original model was off on the mounting positions for the chute flap and chute flap arm causing two issues:

  • The flap to hit the front of the chute and not allow the arm to go back far enough when pushed by the print head.
  • When the print head would try to home to the poop chute.
  • Painted on supports so that you don't have to rely on auto supports

I moved the flap arm mount back by 1mm and the chute flap mount/guide back by 2mm. I also opened the holes on the back so that you can use longer heated inserts if you don't have the correct length.

I printed out of PETG CF and the dimensions were perfect for my printer, no more homing issues. In the file I also painted on the supports and I highly recommend leaving the brim on to deter warping.

My nozzle was colliding with it so I took off about 1mm of the material with some sand paper and now it doesn't touch the metal piece. I uploaded a version that fixes this.

Update 1:

I added a version where I resized some of the holes to better fit the threaded inserts. The M2 holes were made smaller, and the arm M3 hole was made a little larger. I used THIS threaded insert kit and they fit perfectly.

I used 1 M2x2mm, 2 M2x3mm, 2 M3x3mm, and 1 M3x4mm threaded inserts.

Update 2:

I added a version where I lowered the filament cleaner by 1mm so that the metal piece doesn't hit the nozzle. It also has the resized holes from the previous update. This is the version I highly recommend printing. I tested and fit perfectly for my printer. I also added the bin and resized back cover to my files.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I moved the flap arm mount back by 1mm and the chute flap mount/guide back by 2mm. I also opened the holes on the back so that you can use longer heated inserts if you don't have the correct length.
