About the MUC GUARD

The MUC GUARD is a printable mud guard for your mountain bike which can be mounted with only 4 zip ties! It keeps the mud and water out of your face and protects a section of the downtube from the gunk ;). 

It is possible to mount the MUC GUARD on the rear frame with the extra mounting holes on the top of the guard. This works on fullys as well as on hardtails. 

The guard is available with slits or holes for the zip ties to pass through. Slits might add more rigidity to the MUC GUARD overall, depending on the size of the zip ties being used.

Printing

The entire part easily fits on a 220x220mm bed (Ender 3/pro/v2/s1…) and also on the Prusa mk3 (min bed size ca. 200x200). Printing on other printers hasn't been tested.

Personally, I've printed these in PLA but would also recommend PETG, since it's generally more flexible and durable outside in the elements. Recommended layer height: 0.2mm

Material cost range between 20-55ct depending on which filament brand is being used. Compared to the asking-prices of most bike retailers for such guards (5-12€), this is an absolute no-brainer!
